Surveyor currently supports portable research files rather than a public developer platform. This guide explains what can move today, how to prepare it for common analysis tools, and where a one-time file import differs from a maintained native connector, webhook, or public API.
Authorised workspace members can create structured response exports with question labels, answer values, response context, and the survey version needed for interpretation. Treat every downloaded file as a controlled copy: choose a named owner, approved destination, retention period, and secure transfer method.
Export only the fields the analysis needs
Keep question and value labels
Record the survey version and export date
Move files into analysis tools
CSV files can be imported into Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, R, Python, Stata, and many other tools. Check character encoding, dates, missing values, multiple-choice columns, and numeric types after import. Save repeatable transformation steps when the same report will be refreshed.
Validate row counts after import
Preserve an untouched source file
Document recoding and derived variables
Understand the integration boundary
A CSV import is not continuous synchronisation. Surveyor does not currently advertise a public customer API or native Zapier, Google Sheets, or Power BI connector. Do not design an operational dependency around undocumented internal endpoints; they may change and are not a supported integration contract.
No supported public API today
No native marketplace connectors today
No automatic two-way synchronisation today
Plan automation as a product decision
A reliable public integration needs authentication scopes, workspace permissions, rate limits, versioning, audit records, webhook delivery, retries, documentation, and support. Until those controls are released, use governed exports and contact Surveyor before committing a procurement or reporting workflow that requires live integration.
Define the minimum data scope
Plan retries and duplicate handling
Require a documented support boundary
Frequently asked questions
Can I customise this guide?
Yes. Surveyor templates and question structures are starting points. You can edit wording, answer options, required fields, logic, branding, and collection settings before publishing.
Can I collect responses on mobile devices?
Yes. Published Surveyor forms are designed for phones, tablets, and desktop browsers. Eligible plans also support offline queues for previously loaded surveys.
