Lawful and ethical use

Use Surveyor only for lawful, transparent, and appropriately governed research, feedback, registration, assessment, and data collection. You must comply with data protection, communications, consumer, employment, health, safeguarding, research-ethics, intellectual-property, and sector rules that apply.

Consent and participant protection

Do not misrepresent who is conducting a study or how answers will be used. Provide appropriate notices, obtain valid consent where required, respect withdrawal and complaint routes, avoid coercion, and apply additional safeguards for children, vulnerable people, employees, patients, or sensitive communities.

Illegal and harmful content

Do not collect, host, request, or distribute material involving exploitation, trafficking, child sexual abuse, credible threats, unlawful discrimination, targeted harassment, non-consensual intimate content, illegal goods, instructions for serious wrongdoing, or content that violates another person’s rights.

Sensitive data

Do not collect passwords, authentication secrets, full payment-card data, or unnecessary identity documents. Health, biometric, political, religious, sexuality, ethnicity, precise location, criminal, or other sensitive data requires a specific legitimate purpose, lawful basis, minimisation, access controls, retention plan, and any necessary ethical review.

Security and platform abuse

Do not probe, scan, exploit, bypass authentication or plan limits, introduce malware, automate abusive traffic, scrape private content, interfere with availability, impersonate another user, forge request identity, reverse engineer protected service components, or access a workspace without permission. Report vulnerabilities to security@surveyor.ng.

Spam and communications

Do not use survey links, reminders, email, or future WhatsApp features for unsolicited bulk messaging, deceptive promotions, or communication that violates consent and opt-out laws. Campaign source tracking does not itself provide permission to contact someone.

Statistical and public claims

Do not fabricate respondents, manipulate results, hide material limitations, claim representative findings from an unsuitable sample, or present illustrative demo data as real customer or public activity. Automated flags and insights must be reviewed by a qualified person before consequential decisions.

Enforcement

Surveyor may investigate, rate-limit, disable collection, remove content, preserve evidence, suspend accounts, or terminate service where use creates legal, security, safety, or operational risk. Urgent risks may require action before notice. Where appropriate, we may ask for context or remediation.

Reporting abuse

Report a harmful survey, impersonation, spam, or other abuse to support@surveyor.ng with the public URL and a concise description. Do not send sensitive response data by email. Immediate danger should be reported to the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service.
