Website feedback survey questions

Website feedback becomes more useful when it identifies the visitor’s task and whether they completed it. A small intercept should not block the experience or ask broad questions without page context.

Start with visitor intent

Ask why the person visited, whether they completed the task, what helped or blocked them, how easy navigation felt, and what should improve. Pair opinions with behavioural evidence where available.

  • What did you come here to do?
  • Were you able to complete it?
  • What caused the most difficulty?

Use intercepts carefully

Avoid immediate popups before a visitor has experienced the page, keep the questionnaire short, and do not collect contact details unless a clearly explained follow-up is requested.

  • Trigger after meaningful interaction
  • Respect dismissal
  • Keep follow-up optional
